Hunter Tyson gets MVP of the Week award for Puerto Rican BSN (by Hoops Agents)

American Hunter Tyson (203-F-2000) had a great game in the last week for Gigantes de Carolina and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 9.
The 25-year old forward had a double-double of 38 points and 14 rebounds, while his team crushed Arecibo (#2, 8-4) with 20-point margin 111-91. Gigantes maintains the 3rd position in their group in the Puerto Rican BSN. Carolina is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-5 record. In the team's last game Tyson had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He just recently signed at Gigantes, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Clemson University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Tyson is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 7.3rpg) and averages solid 62.2% FGP and 44.8% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last week's games was young American center Thomas Robinson (203-C-1991) of Piratas de Quebradillas. Robinson impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 27 points and 14 rebounds. It was enough for Piratas to edge slightly higher-ranked Santurce (#5, 5-7) by 1 point 96-95. Quebradillas' 6th position in Group A has not changed. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Piratas managed to get this year. Robinson is one of the most experienced players at Quebradillas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last week was Andre Curbelo (183-G-2001) of top-ranked Atleticos de San German. Curbelo showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists in the last week. He was a key player of Atleticos, leading his team to a 109-102 win against #4 ranked Mayaguez in a game of the week. San German confirms their top position in Group A. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 3 lost games. Curbelo has a great season in Puerto Rico. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.9apg (5th best).

10. Kendric Davis (183-PG-1999) of Manati - 33 points and 4 assists
